The program on this disk - RENTALS - has been renamed from LANDLORD by the
author in order to avoid conflict with another non-affiliated program by the
same name.
Type GO [ENTER] at the DOS prompt for instructions on installing RENTALS to a
hard disk or floppy disks.
The installation instructions tell you that you need a CONFIG.SYS file on your
boot disk or on the root directory of your hard disk. To check for this do the
following:
Floppy disk users: Put your boot disk in drive A: and type: TYPE A:CONFIG.SYS
Hard disk users: Type C: and the CD\ - Then type: TYPE CONFIG.SYS
You will receive a "File not found" message if there is no CONFIG.SYS file. In
this case, copy the CONFIG.SYS file from your RENTALS disk to your boot disk or
to the root directory of your hard disk.
If a CONFIG.SYS file is typed out to the screen, be sure it contains the lines:
BUFFERS=20
FILES=20
If these lines are not present, edit your CONFIG.SYS file to include them.
